Editor-in-Chief
Location: Oro Valley, AZ (onsite or hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead editorial strategy for print publications
- Manage editorial staff, assign stories, and oversee content quality
- Develop and enforce style guidelines and fact-checking procedures
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to align content with revenue goals
- Oversee print layout and design workflows, ensuring CMYK color accuracy
Qualifications
- 10+ years in journalism or editorial management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, with deep CMYK print design experience
- Solid understanding of local community issues in Oro Valley
As Editor-in-Chief, you will shape our editorial vision and guide stories that matter to Oro Valley. You will also lead new formats like live Q&A sessions and print supplements, while mentoring a dynamic team.
Outsourced Content Writer
Location: Remote (Oro Valley, AZ preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Research, write, and edit articles on local news and community stories
- Optimize content for SEO using targeted keywords and meta tags
- Collaborate with editors to revise drafts and meet deadlines
- Ensure content aligns with our editorial guidelines and style
Qualifications
- Proven experience writing for digital or print media
- Command of AP style and SEO best practices
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS is a plus
