A local community effort is bringing educators, business partners, and advocates together to support students and families in the Marana Unified School District through a Shoe Drive.
The drive is collecting essential items to help ensure MUSD students have access to shoes, clothing basics, and hygiene products they need to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
Community members are encouraged to donate brand-new shoes for toddlers through teenagers, new socks, new underwear with sizes 4, 5, and 6 especially needed, and hygiene products for families.
The main donation event will take place on September 19 from 8:00 a.m.
at Al Guinee Jiu-Jitsu, 4140 W.
Donations will be accepted throughout August and September.
Community members can contact Mikaela Robinson to arrange a pickup.
The Shoe Drive is hosted by Mikaela Robinson of Tierra Antigua Realty, along with community partners Nova Home Loans and Stewart Title.
