The name Stacks Book Club goes back to 2017 when we formed a book club with friends. The first book our club read was Ernest Cline’s pop-culture-filled, dystopic odyssey Ready Player One. For those that have read the book, you’ll recognize the Stacks as the neighborhood of the main character Wade Watts. We loved the insiderness of that reference with the more literal ‘stack of books’, and named our little club Stacks Book Club. Our club has met every month since January 2017, but we felt there was more we could do.
