MVHS National Honor Society Wipes Student Lunch Debt!
MVHS National Honor Society Wipes Student Lunch Debt.
Students in Mountain View High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) stepped up to address an important need by launching a fundraiser to help eliminate student lunch debt, and their generosity exceeded expectations!
Through their fundraising efforts, these students raised enough money to cover the $7,053 in outstanding student lunch debt, helping remove a barrier that can prevent students from accessing school meals.
In Marana Unified School District, unpaid meal balances can follow students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
However, once students enter high school, outstanding balances must be cleared before they can purchase meals, creating an additional challenge for students who rely on school breakfast and lunch.
Recognizing this need, Mountain View’s NHS students took action to support their fellow Mountain Lions.
Thank you to our Mountain View Mountain Lions for making an incredible difference in their school community!
A huge shout-out to Mountain View High School’s National Honor Society students for going above and beyond to support their peers!
