Six large canopies will cover playground equipment at both the North and South Playgrounds.
A single canopy will be placed near the pickleball court and skate park.
The playgrounds will be temporarily closed and surrounded by metal fencing during installation.
Crews will begin work in the playground areas first, with the goal of completing that work in time for winter break.
Soft barrier fencing will be placed near the pickleball courts and skate park work areas, but these amenities will remain open during construction.
